THE INSPIRATION
As our collective consciousness moves towards a more peaceful and compassionate existance, I feel that our participation in this process is integral to ensure that we evolve towards the best possible outcome for our human family.
The dream was to hold a musical celebration of the strength, beauty and compassion of the human spirit that shines through in even the darkest of times.
THE HOPE
In the hope of contributing to our changing mindset that keep us in habits of waring, this is a gentle exercise in practising patience and tolerance of each others beliefs and differences, as we listen to the stories and perspectives of many people affected by war.
This event is about being proactive as cohabitants of this planet in shifting our consciousness from the barriers and judgements that keep us in the mindset of destroying our home and each other.
THE TRADITION OF REMEMBRANCE DAY
This is not a traditional Remembrance or Armistice Day
service and I do not claim it to be: In fact, I feel it would not be my place to hold such an event.
As a member of our younger generations however, I do feel a mutual responsibility to pay honour and tribute to all of the brave and inspirational souls (that have appeared on all fronts) that have contributed positively to the world's Karma so that we can enjoy a better life - and to remember what we've learned from their sacrifices, so that we may all see the change we've all been dreaming of and hoping for.
Our history is a rich web of cultures, actions and intentions and some of the most beautiful things that remain in us to this day are the things that shine when we unite and celebrate; the things that could very well be our ticket to survival through the turbulent times ahead.
This concert is not intended in any way to replace or supercede traditional or commemorative services, but merely to offer an additional celebration of the fortitude and bravery of the human spirit and a perspective combined with a newer outlook of our future and the 'value' of war.
As a musical artist, a beautiful concert is the best way I can think of to pay tribute to these souls and sentiments.
Love and light,
